Mark Ganz is president and chief executive officer of Cambia Health Solutions, a nonprofit total health solutions company dedicated to transforming healthcare by creating a person-focused and economically sustainable system. Ganz is working to champion change, challenging leaders and Cambia employees to focus every decision on consumer needs. Ganz was recognized for his efforts by Modern Healthcare as a “100 Most Influential in Healthcare” in 2018; and he was profiled in 2017 by The Harvard Business Review on his unique vision to embrace innovation and take strategic risks in collaborative leadership in The Boards New Innovation Imperative.

Under his leadership, Cambia has been recognized for a number of accolades, including recognition in 2018 by Forbes as a “Best Employer for Women.” Additionally, Cambia was named a top “Military Friendly Employer” by Viqtory Media; “Top 1,000 Companies Worldwide for Millenial Women” by Mogul; named “World’s Most Ethical” by Ethisphere Institute; and achieved a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for positive corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality.

A Portland, Oregon native, Ganz has been humbly honored with regional recognition. This includes The Governors' Gold Award for his lifetime contributions to the state of Oregon in the areas of healthcare, economic development, and leadership through community service; Lifetime recognition by the Gonzaga Preparatory School Hall of Fame along with his brothers, Rick Ganz, SJ, and Bill Ganz, MD.; The Distinguished Eagle Scout Award (DESA) by the National Eagle Scout for his tremendous commitment and leadership within the community and healthcare industry; and recognition by the Portland Business Journal, naming him ”Healthcare CEO of the Year” for 2014.

As the former chairman of the board and current board member for America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), and board member of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, Ganz is an outspoken advocate for consumer-obsession in healthcare. He also serves on the boards of Portland General Electric Company; Oregon Business Council (also executive committee member); Greater Portland Inc. (a regional economic development corporation); University of Portland Board of Regents; Boy Scouts of America-Cascade Pacific Council (chairman); Prime Therapeutics; The Conversation Project; and Echo Health Ventures. He is also a member of the Aspen Group and an advisory board for the Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics at USC.

Ganz earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. While an undergraduate, he was a staff member for U.S. Senator Henry M. "Scoop" Jackson (D-Wash). A dedicated husband and father, Mark lives in Portland with his wife, Leslie, and their two children.
