Keith Grossman

Keith Grossman became president and chief executive officer of Thoratec in 2014, a position he held previously with the company from 1996 until 2006.

From 2011 until its $1.1 billion sale to Bayer in 2013, Grossman served as president and chief executive officer of Conceptus, Inc., a women's health medical device company. From 2007 to 2011, he served as a managing director with TPG, a private equity firm, in their healthcare investment team. Prior to joining Thoratec in 1996, Grossman held a variety of management positions with companies including Sulzermedica (formerly Intermedics, Inc.) and American Hospital Supply Corporation.

Grossman serves as a member of the board of directors of ZELTIQ Aesthetics, Inc. and previously served as a member of the board of directors of Intuitive Surgical, Inc., Kyphon, Inc., Conceptus, Inc., and a number of privately held medical device companies.
